Sanctum Polis' protagonist Caxton Cadwell. He's the reluctant hero that must literally experience the personal hells of each Bishop at Solari Notre University in order to save his fellow students from a fate worse than death.
Caxton Cadwell grew up with his father after his mother died in a car accident. The accident happened while he was still very young and it should have claimed his life as well. Dealing with her loss has caused him to require a lot of emotional strength. It's a strength that has lead him to vow he'd never lose anyone else that's important to him. This is the strength Bishop Konel saw in him, thus choosing him to be a part of House A'Risel.
