Finished commission for Dan unless any changes are requested!
I was able to get slightly better pictures during the daylight, but my camera is still thrown off by the guard hairs. It wants to make them concentrated bunches of color rather than the thin fibers that you can almost 'see through' to the fiber color below them. So this tail is much more impressive in person, if I may say so myself! But I do think some of these pictures came out pretty well nonetheless : )
And I took a lot, as usual!

Beautiful!!!
God I love how realistic these look. It pisses me off to no end when I see people wearing real fur tails. There was a guy selling them at MFF.... -__-
I wanted to destroy him but I like my freedom. Besides, I think he only sold like 1 or 2. His rack was full the whole con. I would have much rather seen you having his booth and there's no way you would have had any left over by the end of the convention. Just goes to show that passion, creativity, and skill is is always better than selfish, uncreative, lazy aesthetics. Gotta love healthy alternatives!
Mad respect for you! Keep up the amazing work, hon! =3

There's nothing wrong with taxidermy, you should've kept your comment more on the topic of the submission instead of going on a self righteous rant. It's bound to offend some people that actually like fur and understand why it's not a terrible thing to own, death is a part of life and it's better to use those parts to use than to have them rot and be forgotten about. Also if you have leather or eat burgers you're being a huge hypocrite. Not to mention all the other things people use in their daily lives that came from dead animals that are not terrible things, just facts of life on this planet. Cheers mate.
Oh, I will add though that I've called out a few people on their tail and they didn't even know it was real. Two (of maybe 5) of them had told me that the dealer said they were fake. I know better but unfortunately, that's not always the case for others and they are tricked into supporting something that they wouldn't normally. Both those 2 got rid of it thereafter.
Thera since you want to make a comment and block me immediately afterwards.
I am totally in my right to congratulate this artist and tell her exactly why and that's what I was doing. I was not speaking to anyone else but her. Maybe it should have been in a note. Death is a part of life, yes. We have to have death in order to live. What we don't have to do it flaunt it like a flag. We need food and though the meat industry is quite sickening in the manner that we do it, at least we are using all of the animal and working on alternatives. Fur bearers are killed for their fur. We don't eat their meat (for the most part) and much the rest is wasted. Some might like to argue population management but that is a whole other story that has lots of twists and turns and should be addressed in a different fashion than how we do today. Long story short, its only perpetuating the problem. Mounting something on you wall has zero value. Wearing a tail has zero value and only shows a deeper desire that can not be achieved. When you die, you will be forgotten about. That is a fact of life since time is always the ultimate victor. If something died and you are using what it left behind, at least let it be something that has a true value and let there be respect for the sacrifice. There is no respect in aesthetics like this and we don't do the things to dead people as we do to animals. I'm not religious but I'll go and side with the Hindi when it comes to respect of all life. My views may be a bit self righteous but they are shared with the vast amount of the community. I'm quite sure there people were considered being self righteous in the 1700's as abolitionists pressed and badgered slave owners. Slowly but surely, they won as their opinions were shared. It is a loosing battle and in time, these opinions will be shared furthermore. Cheers, but I'm not your mate.
Sorry for muddying up your page, Skahlly.

*shakes head* People and their differences. Ha ha as the owner of the simply wonderful tail up above, Dan, it was so realstic looking you couldn't help but comment that it was a great alternative could you Wolf-of-Samhain? I agree with both points of you guys, but simply this tail was gotten because the other yarn tails I saw looked so beautiful and much better then other tails out there! More beautiful then real wolf / taxidermy tail for sure. As for what was talked about between those three comments, if an animal has died of natural causes there is no harm in using it's resources. Sadly, that is not how furs are usually gathered. With as strong of family system wolves have at least, it's wrong to hunt them.
Anyhow what I really wanted to say, though it won't arrive till tomorrow, the tail looks amazing! It was worth the price and more. Not only for how it looks and the quality of it I'm sure I'll soon see, but through all the e-mails yo were very nice Skahlly and helped me a whole lot with figuring out and deciding on exactly what I wanted. It turned out better then I imagined! Thank you so much for making such a great looking tail for me Skahlly! Enjoy your break from making tails after this year's commissions are done! I hope when you do decided to start making them again you enjoy it more then ever, or just as much as always. ^^

Thanks! : ) I'm really excited to hear your thoughts once it's finally in your hands, and hope you like it even more!! I'm happy that I was able to provide you with such good service, I really do try and appreciate feedback so that I know that I'm doing it right! And thank you, hopefully my break will be really relaxing and if I do come back to tails I will have more enthusiasm than ever ^^
The tail is even more amazing in real life! It looks good in any light and matches my hair so well! Not to mention it looks super realistic and the size and length is much nicer then my previous one! The weight helps me know it's there too, which was a nice bonus. Thank you so much for making such a perfect tail!
