Once, in a distant land, Folium used to upload stories or small tales. Now return and relive the past WITH MORE STORIESE!
In all seriousness, this is the tale of Folium, the story that goes with my character and this particular one is telling of his own inspiration, his originations. See Folium's starting ideals are not that original, he actually comes from Redwall, but his advancement, and character evolution expands much farther into his own world. This is the start to it all, this is young Stripetail. This story will be a fair length, for how many chapters? I am not sure yet but I do have a path I am following. After this story, will follow into the gathering of the Leaf Warriors, a collection of 3 other warriors who will remain nameless for now.
Also this story is supposed to be my tribute to Brian Jacques, the author of the amazing series and my own person inspiration for writing. He was an amazing writer, putting forth fantastic stories and weaving the world of Redwall. Yet, unfortunately, he passed away 5 February 2011. It was an extremely saddening day indeed.
Now onto the tale, You must excuse any imperfections of the lore I am pulling from, if you are an avid redwall reader, you will probably notice many flaws in my writing towards it, because I haven't read the series in a long time as the books are no longer in my possession nor have I had the chance of reading much of Rouge's Crew. Regardless, I love the series and it was my savior during my middle school times all the way through most of high school. But beyond that, I hope to give a satisfying tale and you also won't need to read the pervious books to understand. I merely am using Redwall as the source location.
Let me also tell you one hilarious part, at one point in the story, Folium has someone talk to him (You will know it when you get to it, its the first time.) when I first wrote it out, I was writing in 3rd person for no reason at all even though the entire story and my most preferred way of writing is 1st person. No I didn't take a break right before that part, I did this all in one sit down. Well that's all for now.

See Folium's starting ideals are not that original
And this is unusual in what way on FA? If you look around on FA, you'll find a lot of folks' fursonas started in some other world already created by someone else. Personally, better to use Redwall than some of the stuff I've seen out there.
I need to pick-up Brian Jacque's last 2 or 3 novels. I have the whole series through High Rhulian. Why did I stop? I got bored. The last few seemed unoriginal/rehash of the same tale compared to some of the earlier works in the series. Please don't take offense. It's just how I felt at the time I stopped reading him. I was saddened by his passing. Fav character among the earlier works would have to be Mariel. I red Redwall in a single evening the first time. No small feat for someone who is a slow reader and normally needs a week of "spare time" to burn through a 400pg novel. Of course, at the time, I was "flying" Greyhound between Lubbock and Dallas, TX 'cause all aircraft in Lubbock was grounded due to ice and wasn't expecting to have a 6 hour bus drive on my hands for a distance that normally takes 1 hour of flight time.
Anyway, its too early in your tale to pass judgement on your story. So far, it fits in well with the Redwall universe. There are a couple of minor errors that spell check didn't catch such as "there" used when "their" would have been the proper word.
This "geezah" squirrel shall peak in now and then to see what happens to young Folium from here.

I'm not saying that it is not unusual, just that I do not deserve the honor of Folium ever being original xD at least not his roots, later on as one will find in later parts, he finds his own path.
Redwall was quite the amazing series, and while later on the tales were uninspiring, I especially felt that Doomwite and Eulalia were lack luster. The next book after wards was a step back in the right direction, never did get to read the last one though, sadly. All together, I adore the series but do understand it's faults, but I do got to say he created such a wonderful fantastic realm to create in! I take no offence in your opinion, and actually highly appreciate it a lot!
Ah well, the timely old There Their error is one I am vastly known for in all writing xD In my dictionary of Squirrelly Words, there is only one there, and shall be used for all occasions, I'm pretty terrible at that specific word despite being corrected for years.
hopefully I shall see you again =3
