Been messing with style and character designs for the children's book I'm illustrating for my mom for christmas (hopefully I'll get it done on time!). The book is a little story about my dog when he was a pup. My mom wrote it and it's a cute as hell read and I'm hoping I can do it some justice with the art that I poop out for it.
So anyways, here's a silly little cartoony version of my dog as a puppy. If anybody has ever illustrated a children's book and has any tips for me, I'd adore you for them. I also wouldn't mind having somebody to bounce thumbnails and stuff off of and ask for opinions.. if anybody would be up for it ^_^

ive always been obsessed with the breed and finally get to get one, I have to save up $450 !! my commissions are open for said reason x)

White and brindle is cute :D If you ever need tips or destressing, toss me a message. Bully babies are a major handful, even adult bullies are sometimes complete brats haha.

hahaha you can add me on skype if you'd like! I have so many stories xD and I've come across a lot of their training issues so I definately have tips for when you have him and run into troubles ahaha. My skype is Punkaroothing. It's pretty well always logged in so if I don't always respond it's just cause i'm not at the computer :D
Off the top of my head though, things I'd suggest you have on hand for him..
- an antler (keeps them nice and busy, doesn't splinter, won't break teeth)
- one of those jug water bowls when he gets bigger.. else you'll be refilling constantly, I don't know what it is about these dogs but they drink a lot lol
- grain free food (lots of bullies have problems with corn, and allergies, and their skin getting dry in general)
- bananas.. they're like.. universally loved by bullies haha, I can't eat a banana without sharing it around here.
- freeze dried liver, this is the primary treat my bulls get. It's high in protein, smelly, you can break it into tiny pieces easily, they'll do ANYTHING for it so it's great for training. I always buy made either in canada or the usa (find something that's local if you're not north american, avoid imports from... china)
- can of 100% pure pumpkin (not pie filling). Once you've opened this you can put it into baggies or ziplock containers and keep it in the freezer till you need more. It's a pretty good cure for things like constipation and diarhea. Just give a few spoonfulls, they really like it too.
- Hydrogen peroxide.. I've only had to do this once, and honestly never thought I'd have to because my two are pretty well behaved, but bullies pretty well universally have some kind of pica I swear lol They will often grab and eat things that they just shouldn't.. more often than any other dogs. My two ate the entire contents of a trash can one day while I was out, cardboard, flower clippings, you name it. You can use a hydrogen peroxide/water mix to force them to throw up... you never want to do it if there was a chance they ate something sharp, and you don't want to use it lightly, but it can save you from a huge vet bill or worse, dead dog, that can happen when they eat something and get an intestinal blockage.
