Long before Marcus came to a new town, Some time go Marcus was taught to battle by a Legend Pokemon Xerneas.

1st panel:
Xerneas teaches Marcus with some basic education. She has taken good care of Marcus during his stay in the forest

2nd panel:
Under Xerneas' Supervision, Marcus practices using his moves at the target.

3rd panel:
after 3 months teaching, Xerneas' time is coming to a close. and Marcus learned much Xerneas can teach him, however due to strange reason Marcus cant learn any fairy moves, Xerneas will over see that next time she awakens. Xerneas give a special gift: a gem that was part of her horn. she gave her last good bye

4th panel:
Xerneas went into a deep slumber by turning into a tree, Marcus was a little sad to see his mentor go, but he swore an oath, to keep safe the gem and tell no one about Xerneas' whereabouts.
