This pic was inspired by an issue of "Simpsons Comics" (issue #41) that had a spoof of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In it, Homer accidently drank a Krusty-brand cherry cola that had a golden straw on the inside of it (think like the Golden Tickets that Willy Wonka hid on the inside of Wonka Bars). After the surgery, Dr. Hibbert showed the family Homer's appendix was impaled by the straw (only Bart was truly interested). So, he got the straw from Dr. Hibbert. The next page made Bart's gaining of a golden straw look like a sign from the heavens; with a sunburst effect in the background with these four little Flying Naked Homer Fairies. In the lower right hand corner of the page, one of the little Homers was mad because his sash fell off and he was naked. It was really funny.
In 1999, I took the book to school with me and I showed it to a bunch of my friends (with my hand over the lower right hand corner). I first let them take it in...and then I would quickly remove my hand with an accompying "D'oh!". And then they'd laugh.
This story can be found in the book "Simpsons Comics Unchained".
