When a superheroine prepares for a "night out," it often has a different meaning than what most civilians have in mind. Here, Archer prepares for her nightly patrol. This was a neat commission, as it gave me the opportunity to show Archer without her mask or armor suit. Here, she's in her flex-armor halfsuit as she gets ready among monitor stations where the network set up by her late father is still operational. This network helps her keep tabs on various sections of the city and potential areas that might be visited by certain criminals at large.

I have an actual prep scene in pretty much every Mighty Miss Malamute.
Step 1: Strip to the fur. Her suit doesn't interface, but the fit is too snug for her to wear anything else. Plus it has venting systems the dissipates her personal scent while leaving the basic species scent intact. Everyone knows she's a malamute, it's in the name.
Step 2: Step into the armor where it hangs loose in a frame.
Step 3: Tap out a code in micro switches located in the fingers of the gloves to a) seal the seam in the back of the suit and b) activate the micro motors on each scale of the suit to pull it in snug.
Step 4: On goes her pocket belt (utility belt) that has three contact points that lock it onto the suit to keep it from swinging around while she fights. (no belt loops) It also houses the venting system and a vacuum unit that further holds the suit tight.
Step 5: She puts her katana Shadow Strike on her back.
Step 6: Mask up.
The multiple scales the suit is made from are designed so in bound forces cause them to lock up, form a temporary solid plate, then dissipate the force before dropping loose again. The katana was built from a block of custom nanotech-titanium alloy that was liquefied into an energy field, manipulated by other energy fields into a sheet one molecule thick and then folded into a sword. On average there are 4 billion molecules/linear inch. I figure the flack back of the sword is about 1/4 inch meaning the sword has 1 billion folded layers in it.
I intentionally choreographed this scene and use it in each story.

Do you try and change up the name of some of the more standard hero gear?
For example, a lot of people use the term "Utility Belt" which I try to avoid. Miss Malamute calls hers a "Pocket Belt" because it has a lot of pouches (pockets) on it. Silky Silver and Gorgeous Grey call them "Equipment Belts" since they of course hold their gear. Skybolt calls his an "Equipment Belt" for the same reason while his side kick calls hers a "Duty Belt". Dark Shepherd is the daughter of a cop, who is the son of a cop and so on. From day one of the Port Ransom Police someone from her family was a member. Since a police officer's belt is called a duty belt, that is what she instinctively calls hers.

Well quiver is an actual name of actual gear. Utility belt is not. As for flex armor, a lot of folks use that. Dark Shepherd's uniform is mostly flex armor.

Thanks! I've got one coming soon, but you can check out the one Train lists above, and also her origin story here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/4742380/
Thank you very much, Lysozyme. I was initially worried that the background might be too plain, but you're right about that. Making it too complex would be distracting :)
Heh, and yup, her super talents give her considerable endurance, so she makes good use of it during her workouts.
