Here's a pattern I drew up for a really fancy tail I'm excited about. The commissioner special-ordered 5 different colors of anodized titanium scales from The Ring Lord, then mailed them to me, and told me to have fun with the pattern. The titanium is gorgeous. The colors are kind of irregular. Some scales will be mostly the same color, others will have flashes or swirls of slightly different colors in them. They look almost iridescent.

The underside of the tail will be stainless steel (shown as gray). Then there are a light and a dark blue, a pinkish-purple, a lightish green, and then something I'm showing as darker green, which really fade from aqua green to blue to deep purple with hints of brown.
