REALLY old species I made up when I was in like...in 6th or 7th grade. A species of tribal warrior types. Lots of tatts and piercings. Jaws that unhinge, natural contortionists, a race that came from an amalgamation of several different alien species. Very strict about breeding outside their 'species' basically the people that exist already, no more outsiders in the breeding pool. Original designs had them with long 'spinal' braids, then Avatar came out and I was like fuck that.
