The Closet of The Mind.
My first attempt at Creepypasta. Enjoy.
Toddlers, children and even some adults all over the world have all had a fear of some eldritch entity that lurked under their bed, in their closet or outside - as if to say that the phobia was instinctual. Every rational fear of ours can be traced back to our early ancestors, who had to learn to fear certain animals, sounds or sights from the get-go if they were to survive and reproduce. But then where does the fear of ghosts, goblins and demons come into play? There is no hard evidence of their existence and yet they appear in the folklore of every Human culture on Earth, no matter how remote or isolated they may be.
We all know that the Bogeyman is nothing more than a myth; tales our mothers told us to scare us into obedience, but ask yourself this: have you ever gotten the feeling that you were being watched? Or have ever seen shapes skittering in the dark? Or have been jolted awake by intense, unexplainable terror? We can all attribute these to sleep disorders, pareidolia or simply a productive imagination, but I will tell you this:
Always keep your eyes shut tight at night.
Never leave your bed.
Imagine yourself being protected by a shield of bright, white light.
Don't be awake around three-to-four in the morning.
And never, EVER utter the words "Kariyakekh" during those hours.
See you in the morning light!
