First commission with
wolfwingx Having Rath, a winged wolf dragon hybrid ready to toast his foes XD
I´m glad to make a new design of his outfit, based a bit with the original but a bit more of my style. Also I decided to make a little test by having two sources of lights and play a bit with the shading. Little by little I´m liking the idea of having more than one, it really makes the idea that the character IS in that scene with these lights ^ ^

Naturally. An artist gets better and better with every work of art they make. The more you adapt to using more than one light source in an art work, the better and more comfortable you'll get with it. I know a thing or two about art and several techniques employed in it, I just have no talent for applying it. Although, it's still nice to see others do it and continuously improve.
And the lighting is the reason why this artwork is truly awesome! ^____^
You know... it's best to start with simple, one-layer shading first and THEN using more, vivid shades.
In fact, these fine gradients work really well here and add a certain magic or warmth to the artwork.
And the dark legs are fitting. After all, there is almost no light to lighten them.
In this case, I like everything.
The pose is strong and ascending.
The expression is alive and powerful.
The lighting is extraordinary!
And the background looks great, without being too detailed.
Overall one of your best works and it's cool how much you did improve and you are still improving.
Great artwork! ^_^

I was expecting that impression with the lights from you since is something that you ppreciate a lot in a lively pic ;D
At first I planned to do a simple flat textured background for individual characters. But after watching the characters with his colors. I wanted to test a bit more with the shadings and the high lights to make the pic 5 time more dynamic and strong as it was planned, and there you go! : )
To be honest, I´m really proud with this work, the lights is what made this work lively! ^ ^
