One time I drew an alright-looking naga, and I have never been able to draw a naga since. It's the hood. I can't remember what I did to make the hood look realistic and not just a heart-shaped thing hanging on the wall behind the naga.

This is Lilac! She's a lavender-colored naga who's the girlfriend of Sable the alligator. I haven't quite decided on Lilac's highlight colors. The purple goes well with the lavender but it might be a little bright. I threw the little armband-stripes on at the last minute but I really like the effect. I think I just have a thing for wristbands because every one of my characters has them.
