On the left - my old car, a 2003 Hyundai Accent GLS. Icelandic Blue (or so it was called). Also answered to Ol' Bleu and Preggers. Bought in 2007 for 6k with 35,000 miles on it. Had automatic transmission, remote keyless entry, ABS, and plenty of trunk space for 3 large suitcases and a fursuit trunk. Died in 2013 at the hands of a failed transmission.
On the right - my new unnamed baby, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS. Indigo Blue Pearl, but in the right light it looks kind of purplish. Has no nickname yet, although my mother drives a similar Elantra Touring in the same color so we're thinking Thing 1 and Thing 2, or Si and Am. Leased in 2013 for an amazing rate. Automatic transmission, cruise control, ECO engine, ABS, anti-theft system, keyless remote entry (and an automatic lock if I unlock the car from too far a distance and don't reach the car in enough time). AM/FM/XM radio, iPod/Aux input and USB input (with two port areas so passenger has their own plug) , cruise control on steering wheel, greater trunk space, and gobs more.
I love them both. I will miss ol' Bleu with every fiber of my being, and honestly wanted another Accent when I went looking. Never thought I'd fall in love with an Elantra.

Oh my god, thats an improvement and a half. Congrats. Also, while the new (and i have to emphasize new) Accent is a rather decent car - in the better end of the subcompact segment along with it's sister car the Kia Rio, the Elantra is a fantastic deal compared to other compacts, is finished well, and looks refined and shapely. It really is a lot of car for a relatively inexpensive price, and is a better car then some more expensive compacts. Good job. :)
As a side note, the reliability of the Hyundai/Kia group has improved greatly. its a lease, so, yeah, it should not be a thing one way or another, but it's still nice to know :) .
I might.
Possibly.
Be kiiiind of a car guy. Sowwy.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a car guy, helps us aspiring car girls do our homework more. I mean, I had done quite a bit of research when I got home from China, planning to replace the Accent anyway before the winter, but was hoping to wait until I had a more stable job instead of the substitute position I have now. Then the Accent went the way of the dodo on me and..yeah.
Before that I had been considering a Honda Fit as I had seen some decent offers on that but I wasn't impressed with the warranty.
