Jardin de la Mort - Death's Garden
My friend, Steve, has turned me onto his copy of Fruity Loops recently, and I've been experimenting. I found a nice set of strings, and started tugging those around, and wrote what I was thinking would go with them.
I sort of think that a deep, darkly colored bell would go well with the string, as well as a muted cymbal of some sort, but I haven't figured that out in FL yet, so I present Death's Garden to you as it stands.
It is somewhat inspired by Anarchy Online's "Shadowlands" expansion, and the sided Gardens there, but much more subdued, I'd think.
I even got paranoid enough to go into my AO folder, listen to a bunch of the SL music, and make sure it didn't match anything I heard there.
I think I may also say that its instrument tonality has some influence from a couple of Thai movies I seem to remember watching, with the twanginess of the strings, as well as how they swing.
It's further inspired by the Discworld books that I've been reading lately on my phone, of which part of the title is the title of the fourth book there: Mort.
Enjoy, comment, suggest. My thanks. :)

Didn't find it. I put this together in FL Studio 8 myself.
Probably still have the FLP somewhere either on my HDD or on Steve's (likely his), since I did lose one drive a while back.
I can find my other variation on this, but I think I buggered the drums on it, which leaves me hesitant to post it.

Would help if I mentioned that the VSTi I used for the strings is Krakli Software's StringZ, just in case you were looking for that.
I'm not much for writing music. Singing is one thing, but composing leaves me out of my element.
Aureametaphus is better at it than I am, by far. so is nobuyuki.

Well, of
Aureametaphus's works, I was rather fond of http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1737267/ :)
As for
nobuyuki, it's harder to pick because not only does he do originals, he also does some chiptunes of popular songs.
So, of the chiptuning, I really liked http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1956054/
And for his original works, a lot of the Kyubi the Diving Cat pieces are great. I chose http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1476843/ as an example.

Thanks. :) I don't think I'm all that creative at this point, but maybe it's because I've surrounded myself with the same thoughts over and over.
As for the picture of the fox, that's my character. She was drawn by belo4ka, and the full picture can be seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2540918 :)
