Star Fox 2's is nothing to sniff at, either, if you ever had the chance to download that unfinished gem.
(The ST had kind of a Link to the Past vibe to it, I thought.)
As for this here upload, at first I misread the title as "Eye for an Eye". I hope it doesn't come to that between these characters ^_^;

It is a mix of genres, but not that difficult once you're used to the format... specifically the tactics / meaning of stuff in the map mode. I actually found the flying parts easier than they were in 1, though sometimes it's better to have your vehicles go into that wacky "walking" mode. Anyhow, I will have to play that game again, just in part to refresh my own memory! If you're ever interested in trying again, I can give pointers.
Going back to the picture again, here's a Mike Tyson joke I once heard while that was still fresh on everyone's mind:
(Q) What's his favorite beer?
(A) Michelob.

Yeah, the mech walking parts threw me off. I think SF Command reused the tactical system and did a better job explaining it. I think what threw me off with SF 2 was how brief the battles were. It's like you meet Star Wolf or missiles or random enemies and the encounters last seconds. It was pretty jarring XD
*shrugs* I still found 2 fun ^_^ and, to be fair, it's unpolished because it was also unreleased. If anything (and this was what really surprised me when I did get to play that ROM) I'm surprised Nintendo got through that project as far as they did. All that, only to cancel it in the end.
Their magazine either didn't know or they lied through their teeth all those years... and I could see that going either way. Sega and SNK were pretty bad about keeping their regional HQs in the dark, too.

It would have been one of the last SNES/Supaa Famicon titles, but it was killed by Nintendo -- probably so they could focus on the N64/En Roku Yon -- and never released to the market.
A handful of cartridges had been made, so the ROM on the internet mostly likely came from a beta tester who quietly leaked it in the mid-2000s or earlier.

Nice icon, by the way! I used one by Kaddy for a long time, too.

You'll need a ROM, I'm afraid... That, or summat from a pirate who's really dedicated to hardware --X=P
Gonna be mean and pick on your typo: Starfox 1 or 2 for the NES? Sounds like something a Chinese bootlegger in the 90s would have done!
