The Song of The Birds
An uplifting piano composition. An interpretation of birdsong in the early light of day. Something I find a lot harder to hear myself nowadays.

That would be fun to play on the piano! Some of the musical phrases remind me of Schumann's Papillons Op. 2.
Speaking of birdsong, I suggest checking out Olivier Messiaen (If you did not already know of him). He composes more atonal music, but nearly all of his pieces are based on birdsong (and his faith). He was an ornithologist after all.

If it makes you feel better, it was not intended as a comparison, simply a statement of recollection.
On another note, it is good to be self-critical; always filled with the desire to try harder and do better. We as composers are usually very critical of our works and of who we are as individuals, but we all have to remember to not be too hard on ourselves. It can inhibit us, destroy our esteem and shred our will. Seeing as that you are having a tough time currently (with whatever it may be), I recommend cutting yourself a little slack. You have composed wonderful pieces. :)
