Painting commission for  Sharae of her dragoness Iced visiting Wyrmberg, as part of the series Sharae is having commissioned featuring Iced in Discworld settings. She gave me artistic freedom in what Discworld imagery I selected, and this is what I went with. :) Had a ton of fun working on this piece!

For those unfamiliar - description of Wyrmberg, from the Discworld wiki: "Wyrmberg is the "Dragon Home" featured in The Colour of Magic, a magic-infested area where dragons can be created from pure thought. Parodies Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series. Wyrmberg has the appearance of an upside down mountain. On the inside it is hollow, with dwellings for the dragon riders and forgotten tunnels from a time when there was more magic. On top is a small wood, a lake with waterfalls running down the sides of the mountain and the Killing Ground, where for some bizarre reason fighting is prohibited."

A little over 15 hours from sketch to finish, Paint Tool SAI and Adobe Photoshop. Uploading a web size that is 30% of the full size because I can't help but want to show off some of dem scales. X) Pardon the bit of website-stretching.
