Because a simple journal just wouldn't get the same amount of attention.
So yeah, I'm finally really getting ready to do commissions but as I've noted before to many of my friends and those that have asked me for such, I really don't know what I should charge for my stuff. I'm not presumptuous enough to mark my own prices though, and after a recent incident I thought it might be wise to have some sort of base line for proper commission work.
I only ask that you give honest opinions. If you think a full color/shade/background is worth 10 bucks from me, then say that. Think it's worth 20, say that. Think I should step away and never put the pen to pad again? I'd be a bit heartbroken, but if that's honestly how you feel then just say it.
And of course, it is TMI Tuesday. Ask me anything and everything, from the mundane to the insane. We let it all hang loose here at casa de rattata~

Short answer, really liked cartoons when I was younger and was interested especially in anthropomorphic characters.
Longer version, found the likes of yerf and vcl, found a lot of art and artists I liked. Also really took a liking to Dean Dodrill, he did the artwork for the Jazz Jackrabbit games (loved them to bits <3). Eventually poked in around some of the more adult stuff too, was a very "inquisitive" young mind, eventually started with some of Dean's drawing tutorials, and after some on/off doodling I got to fa. And I still do the drawing thing but much /much/ better than before, and I only hope to improve further.

for prices I'd say
$10 for a sketch or $15 for inked line, extra $5 for monochrome, or extra $10 for colour.
Add $5 for basic shading or $10 for complex shading. Maybe add extra for more than 2 characters?

as for first experience, um, that's a hard one. I've always had a thing for underwear since my, um, well, I guess pre-teens. <///<; Though I didn't start experimenting with much untill probably about 14 I think. >/////<;;;
