Reminds me of that strip of Amy the slave girl who was taken by a lioness mistress as a new playpet and who found out that the uncle of the liones's family liked to bury loose change in the gardens and then told the kids stories about "buried pirate treasure".. and how the mistress made Amy and her best male servant dig for HOURS till they had a HUGE hole, looking for some non existent treasure..

in the end, they rigged part of the hole to collapse when the mistress came out to inspect the hole... she was less then pleased..

Amy and the male slave found themselves buried in the hole up to their necks and left there all night.. which was fun, because ( as they were talking)

" think she's gonna dig us up any time soon?"
" oh she will.. when she realizes no one made breakfast this morning.."

Yup, that is the story and scene this image is based on.

It's part of my collection that I'm wonderfully proud of owning. and I *ADORE* the other piece that was tossed up.. the "hunting big game"..

that's a side story of Amy getting to turn the tables on her busty lioness that I, personally, would HAPPILY pay to see / have done.. hee!

( especially if it was drawn by talents like DAQ)
