So, for the first time, I've decided to participate in Mo'vember. Our work is raising funds for this great cause. However, I cannot grow a moustache to save my life; but, fortunately my work is allowing Mohawks as an alternative.
So, that's what I went with. What do you all think?
As to why I'm doing this. Well, both my father and first LTR partner passed away too early, one from a heart attack and the cancer related complications. My father, in particular, did not take good care of himself and rarely saw the doctor (which is quite common in men, women are much better at seeing their family doctor on a regular basis). So, I'm helping raise awareness so that no one else can lose the important men in their lives.
So, for all you men out there, go see your doctor annually, know your family history especially when it comes to heart related issues. If you don't know, talk to your relatives. And for us grey-muzzles, get your prostate checked out, as prostate cancer is no fun, but more easily treatable the earlier it's discovered!
I also mentioned I'm raising funds. For those of you who wish to donate, you can do it here: http://mobro.co/jcubeds Any amounts are welcomed, and it's all tax deductible in both Canada and the US.
And men, take care of yourselves! :)
