"a complex weapon... most don't like it because you need to train a bit with it to get comfortable and quick, yet in my opinion it's one of the most flexible efficent and also good looking weapons that Faiser & Loch has to offer"
- Maj. Igor Alexeievich Kutuzov
The Faiser & Loch FL-3T70 Balvam it's an advanced Smart grenade launcher capable of engaging targets that are taking cover inside buildings or behind any kind of structure natural or artifical, all of this thanks to the fuse programmable smart munitions it can use.
Loading and firing:
Step 1: Check that the weapon it's on safe, then insert the mag in the mag well and ensure it's locked, move backward the bolt by pulling the charging handle the weapon it's now loaded
Step 2: To engage a target the first step it's set the distance between the operator and the target to do that simply put the Rangefinder dot (2) on the target and press the O button located right in front of the trigger the range should appear above the dot and in the Munition programming data (1) the range it's now set, the Crosshair (4) from the center of the optical sight will autonomously descend to give the perfect trajectory considering range and munition type
Step 3: The last stage consist on setting the offset using the + and - buttons located above and below the O Button still in front of the trigger, this parameter will set how much meters the grenade will have to fly, when reached the set Range, before exploding and releasing the shower of fragments on the target
Step 4: The operator can now remove the safety and allineate the target with the Chrosshair (4) and pull the trigger, the round will be fired and programmed to then follow the ballistic trajectory then reached the target it will detonate at the set range + Offset
Ammunition Types:
- FL-G/T Training: Training munition the warheads are hollow usually filled with color powder, this same munitions have also Police variant (FL-G/T1P) that use urticant powder for Riot control
- FL-G/L Less-than-lethal: Identical to the standard Airburst munitions yet instead of firing lethal fragments it fire hard rubber pellets a more drastic, with longer range and technological substitute to the rubber shotgun shells
- FL-G/A Airburst FRAG: the standard munition created for this weapon all others munitions are derivated from this one, the G/A it's an airburst fuse programmable Fragmentation grenade
- FL-G/P Armor Piercing: a high velocity munition (producer suggest to add an optional muzzle brake Cod.: MB-25P to reduce recoil) used mostly to pirce trough cover instead than shower the targets with fragments
- FL-G/C Canister: a polymer container full of buckshots that can be programmed to be shot as a Canister/Shotgun shell or thanks to a fuse to become a door breaching round (to change mode press O Button the Caniser Grenade mode indicator (3) will show wich mode it's set on the left door breaching on the right Buckshot mode)
