These Fennec Foxes are residents of the Virginia Zoo. Most of the time, they're asleep since they're nocturnal. However, I have gotten lucky at times to see one of the, awake. The fennec fox lives in the Sahara Desert in Africa and they come out at sunset mainly. Those huge ears help them radiate heat to keep them cool.
