Orange marker? Oh no, it's the black one that always runs out first. lol And I think I used mostly colored pencil for his fur, my orange marker is a bit tooooooo orange so I blended a bit. >u< But feel free to keep trying. :D

(Love how you're helping keep the price propped up; I lose respect for the artists who do this shit, not for free (I've met trust-fund hippies who can afford that, and it's their own problem) but those with the self-esteem or the horrid competitiveness of "Three of these for under $5..." Bro, you're treating yourself like shit and dragging down our earning power... props to your prices; I'll probably just fuck around with a style parody for myself.)

Pricing has been a hot button issue for me lately - I want to be earning enough to pay my bills and still have at least a little left over for fun stuff, but at the same time there's thousands of artists in this fandom with a whole range of prices, and I know a lot of people who will go for what's cheaper. And you're right, that drags things down for the rest of us, and then those who do charge a livable wage for their work get looked down on as being snobs or (the word I really hate) "popufur". Glad to see that there are at least some people out there who understand time/skill/quality = money.

Basic microeconomics. If someone wants to pay $1350 for a slot in a Wolfy-Nail "YCH," it had better be a special event. (In this case the first-ever gay commission for the most popular-by-watchers artist in the fandom.)

No one deserves to not earn enough to live on (tell it to the Republican party); it's just that people expect cheap art from this fandom. If we go here, we might as well be willing to pay your prices, or it just gets denigratory. (I've a guy who's been pestering most of the TF community for requests of the worst shit. He's already sent out the most petulant requests for Stuart Little and Scooby Doo porn... if you're raising yourself above that level on purpose, respect for you is gained <3)
Anybody who commissions anything from a client - visual or otherwise - kinda needs to understand that. Your prices are fine where they are if it lets you earn off pieces this gorgeous. (I haven't opened on commissions yet, but am timing my pieces so I know how many hour to charge each class...)
