Just me sitting at my workstation in the greenhouse lab of my dreams. I've always identified more with the villains in cartoons and comics and I bet you can guess which ones are my favorites. Poison Ivy from Batman, Bushroot from Darkwing Duck, Dr. Viper from SWAT Kats. The idea of an ecologically minded scientist turned super villain who wants to reshape the world into an Eden is something I can really identify with.

*laughs* Mushroom Kingdom, oh goodness that's a good one, I was thinking more like Oz or Wonderland with all the talking flowers and living puns. Ah, but how do you achieve that happily ever after, what do you do to keep people happy, the heroes never plan for those sorts of things, they just drift through life waiting for a tyrant or villain to show up.
The mindless ones yes, and there are plenty of those. The mindless villains end up in jail without a plan as well. The smart heroes spread their message of love and acceptance through action and example. You might not easily be able to make a power point presentation about it but its there. Sadly you can never force someone to be happy but you can show them how to make themselves happy and how to not make others unhappy. However as Ashley has said and you seem to be saying as well. Sometimes a good villain is all you need to get a point across. The firm hand makes a harsher point then the soft hand.
Indeed, and there are all kinds of examples of "villains" who are only considered evil because of how they seek to better the world around them. Darth Vader, Ras al Ghul, Dr. Frankenstein, just to name a few. Is it the intention or the action that makes you a hero or a villain. You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. It's the argument that makes me think of myself as "evil", I am evil because the rest of the world sees me that way, because of my religion, my sexuality, my political views. The so called moral majority are fine with sending their own sons and daughters off to war, to kill and be killed and yet the call me evil because I want people to embrace love and understanding, and those that actively hurt others to die, or at least stop breeding.
I'd say its the action that makes you a hero or a villain, just like the saying goes. I've never believe that one where you die a hero or live to become the villain. People may dislike you or call you a meany head, but your not a villain just because of that. Your right though that the moral majority does happily label people outside of its own as evil and corrupted, and even those inside its own are simply used on a macro scale. While the outside world may label you though, love and understanding, caring and forgiveness is always good. Love is truly divine and its great to see another bright soul in this world.
