Actually, it's a little different than that. It's more like living in the woods your whole life living with the animals. You learn from them and learn what's safe to eat, how to hunt, and basically survive in the wild. Then when you discover your own people, the things you know won't be enough. TV, cars, planes, and all sorts of other technologies will have to be learned from someone. How to talk, how to act.

For Flick he knows the English language. He understands science and understands and can tell what he can safely mess with and what he can't even if he's never seen it before because he grew up in that environment. He'll have to learn what calls mean what in Blank language. He'll need someone to help show him what's safe and what's not in the wilds.
