What ever happened to Spyro? Haven't heard much from Activision either.

Well, the last real Spyro game we got was the 3rd Legend of Spyro game, and after that, Activi$ion got rights to the franchise...and proceeded to make a game that had "Spyro" in the subtitle, yet had nothing at all to do with Spyro. A purely underhanded move simply to grab the attention of his fans for their generic hack&slash game that would have been ignored otherwise.

Pretty much, yeah. Once they had the full rights to both Crash and Spyro, it was only a matter of time before they did something to one of them. Upon finding out a long while ago, that they only put Spyro and his name into 'Skylanders' just to gain more money, that is when they killed the name and all expectations that there was going to be anything better than the Legend of Spyro.
