This is either gonna be an adopt or a just a doodle. When its finished and colored Ill have a contest. This was inspired by japanda. He is an amazing artist. Check him out. But to be clear... he or she has no story. Just a hive on its back, an egg inside a crown on its head. And.. it has a praying mantis for a tail. YEAH!! So anyways help me design it if you see any weird funky anatomy flaws. And yes the mantis has wings.

Interesting concept! Japanda does have some really neat adopts, especially with the tails, so this is a fun nod toward their work. ^_^ The only tip / critique I have is it might be fun to see more of the insect type influence in the rest of the body so they don't feel like two different creatures. Like, maybe less fur on the lower legs and have them taper out to more bare or insect looking? Otherwise I am looking forward to seeing the colors you choose for this! :D Praying Mantis are so neat, they have some really awesome colors if you need any help picking out a type of mantis, let me know!
Ahh, okay. I misunderstood. XD; I have a species that looks nothing like that with a similar concept, they actually change the appearance of the host though. The tail controls the body after attaching itself and "zombifies" the body.
Well, if they don't need to look or have the same color schemes... I can suggest colors for the Mantis half at least and you can go from there? Orchid Mantis has white and like a pinkish tone, there are red, brown, green, green and black, etc. xD Searching exotic praying mantis on google gets you a lot of variations. Good luck! And let me know when you've got some colors down. I'd love to see. :)

Well, that all depends on what you think looks right and fits your original concept . If they've melded together I think it would be neat to see the influence of the insect side of it just a little more but I'm not sure how you'd want to do that. Could be something like the leg thing I mentioned before or you could almost show the mantis legs along the ribcage? I have to go to work so if I stop responding for a few hours that's why, if you still want help just let me know and I'll try to add input whenever. haha.
