Okay so here is the next and newest bust in the bust study. I decided to play with stronger/harsher lighting and fur so here's a painting of Kiwa. It took a bit of time to get the lighting just right, particularly on her right cheek. For example, I had way to much contrast there at one point. I was tempted to add more fluffy fur texture in some of the areas with the shorter fur, but I decided against it because I felt it would muddy the painting and I rather liked how it looked. I do wish I had kept the fur in the neck a little more soft and fluffy looking instead of going with the longer and thinner fur texture...but that's a character design note I'll keep in mind for later.

So there she is! Not certain what I want to do for the next bust...human, scales, or something else? Guess we'll just see what mood I'm in when I get the time to paint the next one.

Now I haven't posted anything with Kiwa or her species the Goaxi over here on FA till now. Honestly I don't have all the details flushed out so I haven't posted a ton on DA either.
