whats filtering? thats why i never used paint programs. may have better quality but its very confusing for me. especially with the layers thing i dont get it. is it like you draw a person on one layer then the next you draw the ground backround then the third layer are the trees? i never really got that sort of stuff

Oh, not filtering, flirting. If you see the rest of my stuff you see I'm not very painterly, I've only recently started playing with the idea : ) I agree, though, at this point most painting programs like photoshop are so super bloated that it's just about impossible to find your way around just by using the program. That's why a lot of colleges have started teaching digital art, these days, since it's pretty much required to break in to the program as a beginner. I had one digital painting class at my school and I don't feel like I grasped much - so far I only have two layers on this, trying not to cheat too much.

hhmm, i never really learned drawing from any schools or nothing. just me and some paper. dint really know they teach it at school
