Now good sir, every mad scientist needs a gimmick. What would yours be?

Massive garden of toxic plants, including the following. Toxicodendron sp., Hippomane Mancinella, Solanum Atropurpureum, Cnidosculus Stimulosus, Atropinus sp., Digitalis sp., Aconitum sp., Brugmansia sp., and geneticly altered specimens capable of macroscopic movement. Welcome to the deadly garden, where the plants are at the top of the food chain. Of course I would also have various species of ants and bees as caretakers and pollinaters.

Now that sounds like a grand old time. I wonder what ways you could find to use them against people. I'm sure you could give one to them as a planet, maybe invite them into the garden or feed some too them. But I wonder what ways you could use them in a crazy way that makes no sense.

Well let's see, the fruit of Hippomane Mancinella looks like an apple, actually in Cuba it's called manzinella de la muerte, little apple of death, and the root on aconitum sp. looks exactly like horseradish. So that's two that are almost undetectable until it's too late. Brugmansia sp. is commonly called the Angel's Trumpet Bush, not deadly, but if you inhale the pollen it shuts down your brains ability to make concious decisions and form memories for an hour or two, Which is how it gets its other name, Zombie Bush, blow a handful of this pollen in someone's face and they will do anything you tell them to, and have no memory of doing it afterward. The rest of the plants are in the class of "don't touch me" plants, Cnidosculus Stimulosus is covered with tiny thorns that act like hypodermic needles that inject a burning itching toxin under the skin, ten times worse than poison ivy.

There are also a few plants that cause sever photosensitivity when applied to the skin, add a little of that to someone's suntan lotion and watch them blister right before your eyes as the UV light actually burns them like a candle. But my big idea is that my home is surrounded by a garden maze containing nothing but dangerous plants, can't cut through the hedge maze when the hedges are made of poison thorned plants, can't step on the grass when the blades of grass are sharp and strong enough to cut through steel belted tires. And those are all real plants, imagine what I could do with a little mad science mojo. Audrey 2 anyone, man eating trees, exploding pineapples, "cherry bombs", the list goes on and on.

But plants that make no "sense" hmmmm, how about tomatoes that launch themselves through the air at ballistic speeds at anyone who tells a bad joke near them. Chilli peppers that produce a chemical that freezes any liquid it comes in contact with. Most explosives and/or volatile chemicals are actually organic or an organic by-product so making pineapple grenades or cherry bombs is theoretically possible. Mushrooms that spread over the skin feeding on the organic waste released through the pores, sending mind-controlling rhizomes through the body into the brain. Oh, I could do this all day.

Nah, if I was going to start doing badge commissions I'd need one, but right now there's no need to have one just for one pic. I may take it to the library or one of the printing companies and see what they charge.
