I meant to post this on Halloween, sorry.
So, alot of kids grew up with their own heroes (or villains) to look up to, whether they had lazer vision or not. And they were huge at the old times (they still are but folks keep forgetting) and had the coolest qualities at their prime. I had two of my own as well, and decided to have Syrus dress as them:
This lil' pup is in a costume of Underdog! I favored the cartoon that went with it and always liked his rescues with the not-so-stereotypical Damsel in destress, Polly Purebreed! I love the wait on a already cool show to hear There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! every time he shows up on the screen! I hope this wolf puppy didn't saw the movie though...
And here's Syrus as the grown-up, dressed as Storm from the X-Men. Marc himself does prefer the version with the mohawk in it and I do see why, but this one made sence for me since I grew up on that '90s cartoon when the comics were purposely unobtainable (after I found out about them). But hell, apart from the recent movies, Storm is a fricking badass in every rendition. Viewed as a goddess, handles her powers well, can even hold her own without them, and is high tier in the ever-so popular Marver vs. Capcom 2!! Mess with her friends and Mother Nature will be your assassin!!! Just look at her seriousness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fz93UFClpo
Well there ya go. Those are not the only heroes I grew up with though, but those that I could'nt take my eyes off of at the time. I'm sure the rest of ya are the same, even if your heroes aren't on the telly nor the comics.
It sorta feels embarrassing to post this so late, but I pick tonight for a reason.
