Well, not really. Most likely once I got to a designated passing zone, I pointed most of those people by. I was a kind and courteous racer, out to have fun with friends. I didn't want to get in the way of people practicing for the Time Attack the next day. But this shot is just awesome... it screams for a caption on the back of a t-shirt.

This is what I (and 10 other Southern California R32 owners) did last weekend. Nothing like taking your street car out on a racetrack and giving it a go. I got what I consider respectable times for a stock car on street tires, and drove hard enough to noticeably fade out my brakes by the last few laps of each session. But fun was had, friends were made and it was a weekend I won't soon forget. And many, many good stories were told over dinner that evening.

Big props to Vanhap Photography, the on-track photographers at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. Especially since I got this picture while I was at BRP this weekend (flagging the Double National club races) and the Redline event was last weekend. I was browsing the pictures last weekend and saw this one and out of all the pictures, it captivated me... but I couldn't bring myself to buy it then. Thankfully, the photos from last weekend were still available this weekend, so I ordered a nice 8.5x11 print (this is a scan of it) and had it in my hands in 5 minutes.
