Yeah underneath and around Valkyrie 01 plenty of times. Back in 83, they had a scaffolding up where you could climb all the way up and look into the cockpit. I guess they must've removed it by when I visited again in 97. They wheeled her over to the Presidential/Experimental Hangars now, so make sure you get to the Museum early and reserve your place on the bus over to the otherwise off-limits on-base experimental hangar.

I'm making a point of it. The Valk's one of my favorite birds ever.

I would think it never would of seen service even with funding, but is interesting =3 Did they try and make a passenger varient to compete with the Concord and the Tupolev supersonic passenger aircraft?

no, usa tries with the MEGA ULTRA HUGE AND TOTALLY EXPENSIVE boeing 2707 and another 16 projects. all big, all expensive, so never flies XD
