Well I'm home sick today so might as take my mind off it by drawing ponies. After a close call while practicing acrobatics in my Equestria dreamscape, link Rainbow Dash was able to make a fairly fast recovery from her injuries. This meant she only missed a few days of practice in her preparation for the Best Young Fliers Competition. Since Petina and Carousel perform on a routine basis at the Bucking Mare, link they now have private practice sessions with Dash out in the barn behind our cottage in Ponyville. link Here we see the three of them stretching at the start of a session.

While I was in an airport a month or two ago, there was a fluff 'news' piece about the Mongolian acrobats in one of the Cirque de Soleil productions, and they were doing some amazingly painful-looking (to me, considering how out of shape I am!) stretching exercises. This reminded me of those exercises; I imagine especially pegasi ponies need some very interesting stretching exercises for their wings -- to not only warm up the wing muscules, but not so much as to strain them, anad keeping the delicate bone structures and ligaments from being strained.
Yeah if one does not take appropriate precautions then things can go bad quickly. That said RD is still at that young age where she can brush off things as if they were no big deal. The problem is that some day she will pay for them. Possibly with interest if she is not careful does not and stays in good shape.
If you mean the routine that Petina and Carousel are developing in secret in the answer is no. Dash was just out doing one of her awesome, but conventional acrobatic routines when something just went amiss. It happens sometimes even to the best of them. That's why acrobatics are so dangerous in the real world.
