"This chick is a ghost, so the two sides are one from the time of her death, and the other where she's in her ghost form. Her story is, she works at a 40s-50s style lounge as a singer, in the 80s. When she performing her set for the night during a Veterans Day special, loud microphone feedback and the subsequent complaints and noise from dropped dishware acted as a PTSD trigger, which caused an officer to take his fellow officer's sidearm (gun control laws being much looser in her city back then, plus it was permitted for military personnel to carry their sidearms at the time) and open fire, firing upon the stage. After her subsequent death, she came back after some time, to inhabit the club where she was killed, which had since then been closed down and re-opened as an anime store. Death being a traumatic experience, she cant recall events surrounding her death, but she likes anime which was really starting to be a thing in the 80s, so it's serendipitous."
