Prime black layer old school burnished gold wash of old school flesh wash during brush highlights in burnished gold again I'm still working paint pots from back in the mid 90s prosess is simmilar with valeho or up or current gw any brown yello chestnut can be wattered down to simulate the old wash and any gold would work realy some day im gona play with my valejo gold alcohol bases just meh stuck in the 90's of late realy guess its a nostalga thing

Try some red wash mixed in with your flesh wash for your primary wash, first highlight, second wash with watered down flesh wash, final highlight with a bit of mithril silver mixed one 2 parts gold, 1 part silver

I will either do that, or if I want a more aged look for the gilded item, I will do black wash, brown wash, then those steps I described above

cool thanks for the tips ill try that geting ready in coming months to do a war altar or two thatll be plenty of gold to play with

if you can pick up some metalic paints by Folk Art. They are quite good for the price and amount you get

oh nice i use some of there range but havnt tried the metalics

right on will do i sample from every range not a gw die hard like most folks i dont realy play i just enjoy painting and building so iff its a cool casting or it increaces my paint range i give it a shot got a massive assortment of acrylic paints at home depot very cheep im looking forward to playing with i dont generaly mix much so i have the reaper master series and there pro some valejo reapers hd i havnt played with yet p3 i still havnt opened gw going back 2 decades a few old ral partha paints left and assorted others like warzone im thinking of geting some coat d arms im told there very simmilar to gw original line i was rather fond of those

Ive since gotten about 94% of them finished. I have three large buildings Im working on (a mansion, a magical light house, and the third one will be a clock tower) then I will be done with the buildings. I am desperately trying to find a way to get a cobblestone mat of some sorts for a 4x4 board. but no luck

humm most things i can think of are more the resin cast variety rather than a mat
