Well, my brother's cat caught a mouse... but she's kind of a (very) retarded feline, and she just sort of tried to stare the mouse down and timidly touch him with her paw... but she jumped back every time the mouse went to bite her defensively.
So, i corralled the mouse into a glass pan and brought him here and put him on my scanner plate... so i dunno, it's a scan of a live mouse, y'all.
I took him off my scanner, covered the pan with papers and gave him a piece of a banana and a yogurt-covered raisin. I fail at killing things, which is surely what everyone in my family would advise me to do. i'll probably end up letting him go... even though he's infesting my house >.< But it's not like he's doing it just to be a jerk or something.
Now that i know mice are lurking again i'll have to make sure to not leave food out.
Mouse is really cuuute! ^_____^ I can hear the raisin rolling around in the glass, so i think he's eating it. ...i guess getting ...er, touched... by a cat paw and seeing the light and vibration and general wtf-ness of the scanner didn't scare him fatally.

At my workplace we had/have a problem with mice. At one point, they put down sticky traps. One was finally caught and they gave me the task of 'getting rid' of him/it.
Of the various methods proposed to me, I decided the most 'humane' (I hesitate to use the word) was to take a large peice of concrete and bash him.
To me, it seemed a better solution then wrapping him in a plastic bag to suffocate, or leave him to starve to death in the garbage bin.
Still, I hated to do it.

That's where the cat found him! by the toilet... the baseboard heater there is where he went into after. They love the fact that the heaters have pipes going into the wayy, because the hole the pipe goes into is easy access. The mouse in my room when i first moved here used my baseboard heater as an entry/exit
The kitty may just have never seen a mouse before. Instinct was saying "It's Food or Entertainment", but curiosity still made Mr.Kitty wonder what it was.
And glad to hear you didn't hurt mr.mousie. he's a distant cousin of us bunnies. Like, 7th cousins twice removed. don't know why they were removed, but oh well. Mommybun and I usually keep it around for a day or two giving it food, then go to a nearby forest/park and let it go so it can maybe forage for itself.
I always feel a little bad doing that though, as he has no idea where anything is there, and immediately needs to start finding a home and food. so the mousie kinda becomes similar to the movie Castaway.

Seconding the "drive somewhere and let it free" idea. You could keep it as a pet I guess, but you don't really know if it has anything, and it might become violent and bite you due to not being used to handling. My spiny mice are more or less nondomesticated, so I can't have them on my shoulder chilling out like people can rats. They are fun to watch though, and very cute. :)
Awww!! See I knew I liked you for a reason!! <3
Thank you for not killing it! I wouldn't have either. Everything has a purpose no matter how small :D You're such a good person :D

Chinchilla butt! Yeah, we need a whole line of animals-on-glass art and products.
I always thought mating animals filmed from below a glass floor would be entertaining, but it doesn't seem to be so common in nature films
And ECM, I used to have a rat problem in my house. The real challenge is to keep them from getting in to start with. Once you master that, you'll be fine. No need to harm anything. If you have any questions, ask me, or look on the web for local wildlife rehabilitation and call someone up and ask, or google your way around. There's lots of ways to get unwanted guests out of your home without being ruthless about it.
