"59 or 58ish" Jennie Sketch - by ToddlerGirl (colored by me)
Back on July 28, 
had a Free Sketch Friday that was actually on a Sunday. She'd been away from home on Friday, you see. Anyway, I posted that I was only going to go to the stream and watch her draw and didn't want a sketch, but she gave me a number anyway, 59. And one of the random numbers she picked was 58 ... except then we all realized she'd skipped number 58 somehow when giving out numbers, going straight from 57 to me at 59. Oh well, so she drew me, as I would have been 58 if she hadn't skipped it. And she drew Caramel too! <3 Thankoo GemmaGem!
Then the drawing didn't get posted somehow, so it sat around for a while, but sooner or later I got it, which is fine, and here it is!
I wanted to do something a little different (I'm always doing that) so I actually inked Gem's sketch myself before coloring it in. Also I shaded my hair with the transparent brush as I sometimes do, but this time I added some extra color to the highlights and lowlights.

I dont normally fave colours of my own work, but you kinda took something I made and made it your own, truthfully i dont think it looks like my art LOL. Thats a compliment not a critisim, because youve basically taken the shell I gave you and made it into something totally different. thats awesome jennie the way you've inked and shaded it has really made the picture pop.
Wow, thankoo very much Gem! I was worried that you would be, well, not upset because you don't get upset easily, but maybe disapproving that I had inked it rather than only coloring the sketch. It kind of feels uncomfortably like tracing, which a lot of artists get very upset about, and rightly so, but it's not the same thing because it's not as if I'm trying to pass it off as my work and not yours. And besides, in comics one artist will do the pencils, another will do the inking, another will do the coloring, etc., and they all get their names in the credits. Basically I guess I'm letting other people's blunders and the issues they've caused themselves get to me; I so badly don't want to be like them that I'm practically giving myself a complex. XD Breathe, Jennie, deep breath, relax. :)
