It's just liability avoidance.
Like the old "MichaElangelo" awkward thing about his name. Just they recognized that. But Raf...They screwed up. That's all. Raffaello was named after an Italian artist, as did the others too. Everyone has the Italian name-version, only it has been converted for him. It's an Italian name. Just the creators don't respect it.
THAT'S THE FACT.
(Also, Americans... yeah.. they call him sometimes: Ralph...
cringe.)
I remember this "joke" from TMNT 2:
"Yeah, all the good ones end in O."
And it's totally awkward because they screwed up his name...
It's like Pietro (Quicksilver) or Kurt (Nightcrawler). Don't call him Peter, or Curtis... Just give them respect, because they deserve it. (Nobody cares It's simple or easier in English...)
Another fact is, they just do this all time with poor Raf.
Sorry, I respect this name, and the old Italian artists, and I don't respect false excuses.
