Again, been a while since I've uploaded actually anything 'proper', other than basic refs and scribbles...

This is pretty much a vent piece with some personal symbolism within it revolving around Vai's back story. At the moment, it's simply flats, because I have my worries that I've got this far and I'll butcher it with the shading and such.

Anyway. Here Vaise sits, in his slightly more 'modified' form, afflicted by something called 'Scary Monsters' having shifted his genetics around slightly, becoming a 'Raptox' of sorts.

Here he sits, reverted to a darker state of his world, King of nothing but thorns and roses and his dark little garden, eyes of the deepest Sanguine on his solitary throne. Trapped in between the overgrowth and his own demons. Rather than tend his garden as he used to, he simply just lets it grow, watching the conflict between the soft, velveteen petals of his beloved roses, and the sharp, unforgiving remainders of brier to decide a winner.

(Technically still a WIP because I'll be adding the shading and cleaning up the 'Roses' a little)
