Rowan: The Monster Plushie Doll
I was thinking about redesigning her completely, but I really like this old design, and realized, I never uploaded her ANYWHERE!
My characters are becoming more and more docile and mellow, but this is the most mellow of all characters. Really the only time she shows extreme emotion is when she becomes overwhelmingly embarrassed when her seams burst or something comes un-sewn.
I created her for a contest last year held by
, and even though I wrote an amazing story and created, not just Rowan, but a second wonderful character, I never had the whole thing completed in time for the contest. It was dreadful: I had so many panels of a short comic sketched and sorted out, ready for lines and colors, but then I blinked and the days were gone. So I'm posting Rowan, and maybe later, her friend (who REALLY needs a redesign), so everyone can see. Isn't she cute? :D
I don't mind if she's called a doll, or a plushie, or a monster plushie, she's more doll-like than her companion, but both are conglomerates of animals, and therefore "monstery." Yes, she's strawberry scented. I had a stuffed 'cow' (it was sorta like a cow) when I was little that smelled like strawberries with a similar patched together pattern, so I guess she's like a reincarnation of that cow...?
Material patterns:
Green Flanel
Red Polka-Dots
Pink Strawberries
Drawn 2012. Text edited/added today.
