This is a personal piece I've been working on over the past couple of weeks. It's hand-carved out of African Blackwood, and set with a 4mm round faceted Moldavite stone. The word carved around the sides of the ring in anglo-saxon runic translates roughly to "change".

I carved out a round spot for it on an angle that would allow a tight fit for the stone, then drilled through and opened up as much space as possible for light to get through behind the stone. I polished up the ring, and used epoxy to set the stone in place.
Moldavite is a tektite, yeah.
