Tort Mini Rex Buck, Sharif, as a tiny kit.
I promise the next thing I will upload will be actual artwork. For real. :P
But I realized I hadn't shown off Sharif, formerly known as "Runt." Breezy, my blue doe (pictured here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10074835/) was bred to my black buck, aiming for all black-carrying-dilute kits.
Breezy had five in the litter...and only one survived. He was totally unexpected, too, because I didn't know that both Jack and Breezy carried non-extension, which causes Sharif's beautiful black-and-gold tort coloring (though here, the black looks more gray since he's juuuust growing fur).
Sharif nearly died...Breezy developed an infection and for about 48 hours couldn't nurse him...and he was less than 24 hours old, he NEEDED food. I stayed up all night feeding him homemade formula with a dropper.
Today, Sharif is a hale and hearty (if VERY small) buck, and he's much older than this pic...this was him at like a week. But after being nursed and snuggled by a human so much in his first day of life, he would fall asleep in my hands. Now, there's no sleeping in people's hands...he's still fine with being held but he's a haughty, arrogant little prick of a buck!!! I'm hoping to get him to the last show of the year at the end of the month...so I had to give him his show tattoo. Damn little snot clawed the crap out of me; gave me half a dozen lacerations, two of which are scarring. :P Nice, eh?
I don't care if he's got an I'm-better-than-you attitude, because he's healthy and happy. :)
Due to the shock of him being born a totally unexpected color, his "show" name will be Wild Card, preceded by my rabbitry prefix of course. :) I just adore this little fellow!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, don't be, he's a violent little prick. Took two grown men to give him his show tattoo. He currently weighs ONE POUND.
That's right, one pound of bunny nearly thwarted TWO ADULT HUMANS. He doesn't even have THUMBS. I have more scars from HIM than any of my other buns!!!! But I love him so it's okay. ;)
