Thanks You might be surprised to hear that it's just a compact, high-end point and shoot: the Sony DSC-RX100. I wanted something that takes quality photos, but would still easily fit into a pocket--the last thing I wanted to deal with was fiddling with a large body and numerous lenses while flying. For my purposes, it does everything I want it to do extremely well--I love that little camera to death.
