I just wanted to draw something for myself and this spilled out. Plugra laying on the floor in thought.
For people that missed this fact since I have been getting a lot of questions about her lately, Plugra is not just a red panda, she is a red panda x caracal hybrid (aka Red Carandacal.) This is why she has so many cat like features and the short tail, giant ears etc. There is info about how her anatomy is split here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8102541/
She's really special to me and I have sort of been using her as more of a main alter ego character more than anyone else for the last couple years. :)

Oh man, there is a story behind that. Well 1) I love potatoes, they've always been my favorite food, but the recent avatar-ness of it came from this:
So for some reason on tumblr my friend Filthy made her avatar a tomato one day, I can't remember the reason why, but to support this avatar change I made mine a baked potato and we were potato and tomato. She changed hers back eventually but so many people knew me as the person with the potato as an avatar after 6 months of it or whatever that I decided to draw one so it was at least something I had made. Then I gave it 3D glasses because before the potato it was the 10th doctor in 3D glasses so it was a combination of the 2 things. It became a little character over time. Somewhere around the same time I found I kept loosing my space in my dashboard on tumblr where I had last been so every night before I went to sleep I would mark my space by reblogging or posting a picture of a potato (usually a baked one, to be consistent) It started off as kind of a joke to mark my place and sort of became a thing and if I remember to do it before I go to bed I still do.

Thats so cool how that has evolved from showing support for a fellow foodie into a real use of the "character" as a marker. The potato innards for hair is hilarious to me and the 3D glasses really help make it a character.
Potatoes are my fave side, too. So simple, yet so tasty in many different ways (baked, fried,etc) I really love getting fresh chives from my garden and use them on a baked russet potato with sour creme, salt, pepper, and butter. So unhealthy but soooo good! *drool*
