A familiar feeling
Familiar, yet different, somehow.. Hmmm..
Occasionally I have time to waste at work. This is what usually happens with that time. I wonder who this might be~..
*totally not foreshadowing or anything*

Kinda reminds me a little of Spyro in some regards.
But ooh yeah, huge wings, like big scaley blankets to cuddle up to a nice dragon and hide away under.
And yeah, the wingspan on most flying animals are quite large compared to their body, the exception being those with a low aspect ratio on their wings such as certain hawk families who. Most birds have high aspect ratio wings, like eagles.
The dragon in this picture would be said to have low aspect ratio wings. Short and wide wings, whilst high aspect ratio wings are long and narrow.
Something else that is interesting about wings is that offspring from a female bird which has to look out for predators during ovulation develop their wings faster and longer wings that offspring from a female that was not hunted by a predator during ovulation. Just an interesting tidbit if you ask me.

Science! I figure in fully outstretched position, her wings would be very long, as well. So really, they're just overall huge.
I'm surprised nobody's seemed to recognize her, though. Suppose I'll have to replace the ridge with a white mane instead, just to make it a little easier.. ;)

Not to mention how the neck looks to be on a 90% angel from the body, which is quite common now but I do believe it was the Spyro games which inspired that.
I prefer it when it looks more believable by studying actual animals and skeletal remains from dinosaurs on can then actually make a dragon that looks somewhat plausible. Or a modern day example would be the giraffe.
Just a little thing I notice personally though.
