Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me
And loving me tonight
Somewhere out there
Someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come trueI *almost* forgot I was given the go-ahead to post this today. >u<
Surprise anniversary gift art from
for
- he is currently stationed overseas and they wanted a piece that would convey the feeling of missing someone who is far away. I decided to place both of them in a window looking out over their respective countrysides, each thinking of the other and gazing at the moon. The song "Somewhere Out There" from An American Tail seemed fitting for this situation so it became the title. Though my situation is by no means comparable, I can sympathize with those who have to be far from their mate. Even just a couple days can seem like forever, I can't imagine going months at a time. I hope you guys enjoy this one and that you can see each other soon. :)

I was so incredibly shocked when this showed up in the mail! What a surprise, not only to get badges from my favorite artist, but a piece that just means so ridiculously much to me! I have to admit I was in tears when I opened it, it's just so beautiful and spot on.
You did such a wonderful job drawing our characters and capturing the emotion of this image, I really can't thank you enough.
And I can't thank Pyndan enough for getting me something from my favorite artist that I will always cherish even after he comes home.

Oh wow, this is beautiful... I've been wanting to draw something based on this song for a while, myself. Another good lyric about distance is from "Atlas Hands" by... Benjamin Leftswitch, I believe? "When the stars are the only thing we share, will you be there?"
As usual, I love your work with the sky and the plants, and the facial expressions convey so much emotion. I've probably said this before, but I've watched you for years and your work just keeps getting better and better.
