Well that was fun <_<. I really should do more paintings like this when I'm bored. Fun fact about the colors: I was gonna do this in color then decided I didn't want to spend 5+ hours trying to get things to look right. (I didn't sketch this out) Turned out really pretty.

Thanks ^_^
and yeah I could've used colors a bit more in contrast with each other but by time I reached the point of deciding to do it in just two colors, I'd had to have to start over. It does have a softer look this way (with less contrast) though so really requires some planning on final look I'd think. :3

^_^ Most of my art is on multiple layers actually. I also don't have photoshop available on my mom's computer. I'm using Sai same as I would if my comp were working at the moment. (Never really bothered to learn how to paint like this in photoshop since I stopped using it for full pieces years ago)
I actually decided to do one layer for this as opposed to more than one. Most of my previous paintings were either done in monochrome or on multiple layers in color. This is one of the few where there is only one layer with more than one color.

I like soft things so you aren't the only one XD. The person I gifted this to likes final look as well. I can see it both ways but feel does change depending on he contrast. I had the choice to use a different color for the brightest highlights but decided against it because when I got to that point the softer look felt better for this.
