This was the pivotal moment of NICOLE's journey as a character. She actually wants to help out and be a part of things. She can't really be of any use staying around Knothole, she can't leave on her own, and she wants to be more than just "the hologram".

When designing the new character types, this was one of the iconic images that came to me as part of her dynamic and I still have to figure out what she'll look like when she's allowed to express her own self as far as looks go.

Dear God I didn't do as good as I was hoping for. NICOLE is starting to become more familiar. I spent more time trying to get her hand right -the left one not the right one I didn't get the left one right but the right one is right, right?- that certain parts of her became disproportionate. At one point I was putting tears in her eyes but thought better because she wouldn't be programmed for that. And sure as I type this now I'm realizing she's already going beyond her program in such ways.
