being a Fabricator/Welder/Mechanic by trade, plus having my own small MachineShop with welding and metal working equiptment in my garage really adds to the ability to build quality parts and props for Fursuits.
Tonight i just finished building a pair of Glasses frames for a fursuit WIP.
- I built these out of 3/16" dia. solid steel rod, using a bending jig and oxy/Accetylene torch, i made these over-sized glasses for the suit using the old-skool method of welding. ( i could have used the MIG welder but this was more fun. :P
This can be concidered " Metal-Art" on its own.
- In this pic # 1, shows the main part of the glases cooling down after hand-welding the bridge in them.
(* Will move to Scraps later)
